I reviewed this book “Diet Enlightenment- The Real Secret to Weight Loss” by Rachel L. Pires. At first I thought it was going to be a book that is nothing but a repeat of any other book I have read on weight loss. In a way it was but in a much clearer format. I have read books that blabber on and on about how to lose weight and how fantastic you will feel if you just do this and this and this. I have done nearly every single diet she has mentioned, I even have the lap band, but I am still overweight. Rachel’s practical advice makes me look at losing weight much differently. I have counted calories in the past but I do believe that is where I need to start again. My problem is reaching my calorie goal for the day. IN hr book she introduced me to the Mifflin-St. Joer formula. I plan to put this in action for myself to see if it will work. I’m always game to try anything, and I think this time I will try harder to stick to it. I love the tools she provides for calculating your needs. Especially the Activity Calculator. That helps tremendously. I am looking forward to sitting down and creating a plan for me and my wife so we can both lose some weight.#DietEnlightenment
Need a tear jerker? This is the book for you. A beautifully written story about a young girl Krystyna Carmi. During the holocaust, she loses her whole family. As the only survivor from Oberty, she describes her life's story, which was not an easy one at all. The book includes photographs that will astound and mesmerize you. We are taught about WW 2 in schools, but this, this is the stuff we should also be reading. Sometimes the truth of a real person's story sheds more light on the situation. Please note, I received this book at a reduced rate in exchange for my true and honest opinion. #promotion http://www.amazon.com/The-Strange-Ways-Providence-Life-ebook/dp/B00W0G0C1E/ref=dp_kinw_strp_1
